Dear Creation Lab Renter –

After almost one year of offering beautiful, affordable, accessible space to you, we’re asking you to pay it forward and invest in the future of the Creation Lab! Help keep the Lab alive and well for another year. Support your fellow artists by donating $5 or $10 to the Creation Lab and ensuring that this fantastic community resource will flourish for many years to come. (And don’t forget to mark in your calendars – all subsidy levels re-load for bookings after September 1, 2012.)

The Toronto Fringe: An Indiegogo Campaign Worth YOUR Investment

The Toronto Fringe believes that supporting the work of artists in any way we can is essential to the health and longevity of the performing arts in our city, and across the country. We believe that NOW is the time for bold action to continue to nurture and support our arts community. That’s why we founded the Fringe Creation Lab - where $5 can buy an hour of creation time for an artist – including YOU!

As someone who rents the Creation Lab, you know how vitally important it is to get artists out of their Living Rooms and into a studio to dream up creations, run workshops, rehearse, and hold meetings. By supporting the Creation Lab, you are supporting creativity, innovation, and the grassroots organizations that make our city so vibrant.

We have a brand new Indiegogo Campaign to raise $4500 before the end of this summer’s festival. And thanks to TD Bank, who has agreed to match your donations until July 15th, every dollar you donate will have twice the impact, so no matter what you donate, it will be doubled. Take action and support the Creation Lab Campaign NOW. Follow this link to the Indiegogo site:

If you would like a tax receipt for your donation, you can donate directly through our website at www.fringetoronto.com by clicking “Donate” in the upper right hand corner.

And Don’t Forget: Applications to the Next Stage Theatre Festival are Open NOW
The Toronto fringe is now accepting applications to the 2013 Next Stage Festival - Toronto’s hottest Winter Performing Arts festival. Don’t be left out in the cold, be the next hottest ticket in the city. To apply, click here: http://fringetoronto.com/nstf/nstf_apply.html

The Toronto Fringe is Recruiting 100 Young Theatre Entrepreneurs

--You are between the ages of 17 and 24 and you’re ready to take the theatre world by storm
--You are ready to burst your theatre-conservatory-drama-club-summer-arts-camp-theatre bubble
--You think that it takes more than ‘just acting’ to make it as a theatre artist

You’ll learn how to install, customize, and maintain WordPress on your own website.
We will cover:

  • building webpages and your site’s menu bar
  • adding a blog to your website
  • plugins and widgets – how to customize WordPress
  • a few lines of code that are handy to know
Bring your laptop, your enthusiasm, and appetite (delicious catered lunch is included!), and by the end of the day, you’ll have built your own website from start to finish.
